Mad Goats Sauna - Tjuvholmen

Mad Goats Sauna is located at Tjuvholmen in Oslo, where the wood-fired floating sauna “Balder” bobs at the edge of the fjord with the city as a backdrop. Here you fire the stove yourself and control the heat exactly the way you like it.

Every day there are public ninety-minute sessions where you can book a single spot, or you can rent the whole sauna privately for up to eight people. An access code and instructions arrive by email, and from the sauna steps you plunge straight into the Oslofjord. A changing room and drinking water are available, and in the summer months the cold shower is ready.

Bring a towel and swimwear – there is no toilet on board – and experience the city's most refreshing break right in the middle of Tjuvholmen.
