Dr. Holms Hotel

Perched high up in Geilo stands the venerable Dr. Holms Hotel, where the bath has been part of the hotel ever since its start in 1909 – the founder, Dr. Holm, famously held that «the bath is the way to the table». In today's wellness department you end your ski day or mountain hike with saunas, a Turkish steam bath and some calm laps in the swimming pool.

The department also has its own children's pool for families, and spa treatments for face and body are easily booked online. Towels, bathrobes and slippers can be rented at the reception, and the wellness department is currently being upgraded with a brand-new indoor massage pool.

The wellness department is open every day 07:00–21:00 – free for hotel guests, and day visitors are also warmly welcome. A classic high-mountain spa with over a hundred years of bathing tradition, in the heart of Geilo.
